When these pens arrived I checked the vacuum filler by using a water fill, and all of the vacuum fillers worked acceptably (it should be cautioned that even pens costing hundreds of dollars generally only fill a little over half capacity). I just inked the purple one, and have found that at least on the initial fill, the pen constantly flooded for the first few tests (for those not familiar with fountain pens, flooding is the discharge of globs of ink onto the paper). After numerous attempts, the flooding seems to have stopped. Therefore, I caution new users that these pens probably will require significant testing before you can be confident that the flooding won't ruin your work.I use fountain pens for sketching and illustrating. This pen produces a nice, consistent, smooth thin line with light pressure, and a fine/medium line with slight pressure. Hold a great deal of ink.The doodle shows the lines. Ink is Noodlers Walnut.I will enjoy these pens for artwork. They are a terrific value.I like the TWSBI VAC pen. This is a similar pen to the VAC. This one will not fit the TWSBI ink well for the VAC pen, but the filling process from a bottle worked well enough for a 1/2 full fill of ink. There is a trick to press firmly and quickly to get this mechanism to work. The nib is smooth and I have not seen any skipping while writing.Work as advertised. The pens write well on different grades of paper and good value for the price. The Pali pens not very good. Marks all over the finish requires polishing. Thread for the Pali caps are very rough. If you buy these get the Wing Sung pens but stay far away from the Pali pens. These pens are beautiful and the perfect weight!I purchased these as they had good reviews. However, the purple one which I filled intending to use, leaked from the bottom. I also was less then impressed with the fact that in spite of having a large reservoir for ink, I could only manage to fill it about a third of the way. I wouldn't buy these again.Just filled the brown demonstrator version of this with Parker Quink and have been very pleased with it. Quite a heavy pen compared to other Wing Sung models. The vac fill works smoothly and well. The pen holds a lot of ink. Remember to unscrew the back vac cap 1mm or so to let the ink flow to the nib for long writing sessions. :)The nib is quite smooth and the proportions of the grip are comfortable for me as a left-handed writer. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting a pen with some weight, or if you want to try a vac fill without too much of a commitment. One of the pens received had the nib out of alignment, this is the first one I filled with ink. At first the pen leaked and blobbed ink out but as I used the pen it quickly seemed to correct the nib alignment and now it writes just fine. I have not tried the other two pens yet. I like the fine sized nib for my writing style and I am left handed. With a little practice I have improved my method to avoid smudging the writing as I move my hand over the finished writing.
