I bought this on a whim. I have a pilot 823 and love it. I got the wing song with the 14k gold nib to see if it compared at all. The finish looks good but the screw threads on the cap are very rough. The nib is fine and writes very well. The gold is not polished like the 823 and is noticably stiffer when writing. I have not had any hard starts or skipping problems, and the vacuum filler seems to work well. It doesn't post as deeply as my 823 but it seems secure when posted. In conclusion would I buy it again? It a nice pen not a great pen. Fit and finish is far from pilot 823. I wouldn't buy it again.
